Women Talk Design elevates women and gender non-binary speakers, empowers event organizers with resources to engage more diverse speakers, and offers training and support for new speakers.
Women Talk Design was a new social enterprise that lacked a strong brand presence. They needed a new logo and visual identity that could represent them in the community, create a focus on the speakers, and have a lasting impact.
CHALLENGE
Women Talk Design needed a visual identity that was both empowering and inclusive. The identity needed to be engaging and clearly communicate the organization’s mission of fostering community and promoting diverse perspectives.
SOLUTION
The Label Collective collaborated with Women Talk Design to create a warm and dynamic visual identity. This involved a welcoming color palette, approachable typography, and graphic elements that symbolized connection and collaboration. The design aimed to be both professional and inviting, reflecting the supportive and empowering nature of the organization.
RESULT
The resulting visual identity effectively resonates with the target audience. Their new logomark creates an impact that is loud, yet subdued in the right places. When all of the brand elements are used together, they elevate Women Talk Design as a trusted platform for those wanting to speak, book speakers, and get trained on how to speak in front of an audience.
Logo
The logo takes on the idea of speaking as a method of inclusivity, using heavy symbolism in a bright and energetic way. Two speech bubble-shaped shapes are aligned over each other to form a quotation mark. The colors and shapes of the quotation intersect to make a third color and shape, symbolizing inclusivity and intersectionality.

Visual Identity
The fonts and color palette needed to be confident, yet retain some of the femininity of the target audience. A bold headline, bright yet slightly muted colors, and textures that added subtle depth in the background created a neutral balance.
Light brand guidelines were created to jumpstart the new identity and leave flexibility to hold space for their main heroes: their speakers. They now have a timeless framework that brings those they elevate forward.
Website
Once the Brand Guidelines were provided to Women Talk Design, their developer seamlessly extended the brand into the website’s look and feel.

Brand Deliverables
By using the color and font decisions in different ways, the Women Talk Design team was able to create a variety of visuals that could support everything from speaking slides to blog images.
