The Label Collective partnered with Ottica Veneta to perform a website refresh that combined their portfolio of distinct brands into a single user experience that was retailer-friendly and easier to navigate.
CHALLENGE
Ottica Veneta faced the challenge of managing two separate hosted domains, which created a fragmented online experience. They needed to consolidate these into a single, multi-product website. Furthermore, they sought to provide more detailed information about their individual frame offerings and streamline the process for retailers to request frames online, improving overall accessibility and efficiency.
SOLUTION
The Label Collective developed a new website for Ottica Veneta that serves as a virtual eCatalog of their available frames. We also prioritized showcasing Ottica Veneta’s rich history, weaving their heritage into the digital experience. The solution provided a unified platform that elegantly presents their product lines while capturing the brand’s unique story and values.
RESULT
Since the launch, Ottica Veneta has gained the ability to easily add new eyewear as each season’s collection is released. They now have enhanced control over user access, ensuring the right retailers can view specific products. Importantly, the new site gives equal weight to all of their brands, creating a balanced and user-friendly navigation experience for all visitors.
Visual Identity
The Ottica Veneta logo embodies the Italian history. Digital typefaces were chosen to extend the same design through the site and modernize the brand online.
The color palette was also expanded to include more available colors. Unique color systems could be created for each individual brand so customers have a visual language to tell them apart as they browse.
1-color logomarks were used to create consistency and maintain an even hierarchy between all of their brand offerings.
Website
The updated website introduced a scalable content management system that enhances functionality for both retailers and consumers. Their team can now enter new frames and update content independently as new seasons are released.
Retailers can now log in to track, favorite, and place orders directly online. Each eyewear piece includes detailed information such as name, model, and color, allowing visitors to toggle between options and save their favorites.
Events and news can be found easily, lookbooks can be previewed online for upcoming seasons, and the “Find a Retailer” page helps their secondary audience—people looking for their frames who want to know where they can buy them.
